Public Notice - Help Wanted – Assistant Librarian (10-14 hrs./week)

The Town of Greenville is seeking suitable candidates for
the position of Assistant Librarian. The person in this position
will be responsible for most of the children’s programming at the
library. The successful applicant must have experience working
with children and also be well-organized and be able to multi-task.

Changes in Solid Waste

  • There are no more double fees at the landfill - same fee as Town office;
  • Recycling Center now accepts payment for fees for televisions, computer monitors, and central processing units ($10/each).
  • Significant changes to solid waste fee management have been proposed and will be brought to Town Meeting in the form of a new Solid Waste ordinance.
  • Dumpsters at Outer Scammon Road will not be returned this spring; dumpsters at Wilson Pond Road will be discontinued June 17. On Monday, June 18, 2007, household rubbish will be collected at Town-owned properties on Scammon Road (Sawyer Pond Boat landing road) and East Road (plow turn-around). These sites will be used in lieu of the dumpsters for trash pick-up each Monday, unless otherwise noted due to a Monday holiday.


Curbside Recycling is now the First Monday of every month. - Please sort and separate all recycling items in appropriate container at the curb.
