Town of Greenville Request for Proposals Roadside and Airport / Landfill Grass Mowing
The Town of Greenville seeks proposals for mowing of approximately 7 miles of roadside and also ~150 acres of fields at the airport and the old landfill site off Scammon Road. Interested parties are to see PW Foreman Mike Thornton or Town Manager John Simko for more details. Mowing of the airport must be complete by September 3. Proposals are requested by 4PM Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Proposals must include contact information, equipment to be used, proof of insurance, and price for mowing. Proposals may be dropped off, mailed or faxed to:

Town of Greenville Request for Proposals - "Engineering Services for Shaw Public Library Improvements"
The Town of Greenville seeks proposals from qualified firms For engineering and architectural design and consulting Services for planned improvements to drainage and the Entrance to the Shaw Public Library. Public Hearing Notice - "ATV Trail Access Route"
The Town of Greenville Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Municipal Building Meeting Hall at 7 Minden St. in Greenville To hear public comment on the proposed ATV route following Pritham Ave. from Greenville Junction to the Village.
The public is encouraged to attend and to comment.

Changes in Solid Waste

  • There are no more double fees at the landfill - same fee as Town office;
  • Recycling Center now accepts payment for fees for televisions, computer monitors, and central processing units ($10/each).
  • Significant changes to solid waste fee management have been proposed and will be brought to Town Meeting in the form of a new Solid Waste ordinance.
  • Dumpsters at Outer Scammon Road will not be returned this spring; dumpsters at Wilson Pond Road will be discontinued June 17. On Monday, June 18, 2007, household rubbish will be collected at Town-owned properties on Scammon Road (Sawyer Pond Boat landing road) and East Road (plow turn-around). These sites will be used in lieu of the dumpsters for trash pick-up each Monday, unless otherwise noted due to a Monday holiday.


Curbside Recycling is now the First Monday of every month. - Please sort and separate all recycling items in appropriate container at the curb.
