The Greenville Police Department would like to let you know about an outreach program that we provide to monitor the wellbeing of the Senior & Disabled Members of our community.
Through this outreach the Greenville Police Department will make contact with those who sign up for Operation Sunrise via a daily phone call to check on their wellbeing.

FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER POSITION AVAILABLE
The Town of Greenville is accepting applications for an immediate opening for a Full Time Police Officer. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have excellent people skills. We are seeking a candidate who possesses a strong community policing mindset that complements their law enforcement education, training, and experience. We are a small department, however are very proactive and we are looking for someone who is motivated and able to work independently.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have an Associate’s Degree or a combination of relevant training and experience, satisfactorily passed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy Alert test, have a valid driver’s license and no criminal record or serious driving record. Preference will be given to full time certified law enforcement officers (blue pins). Qualified applicants may also be required to pass an oral board and prior to being hired may be subject to a medical, psychological and polygraph testing as well as a complete background check. Starting pay will be by the hour based on experience. Greenville offers a great benefits package, including excellent schedule, health insurance, paid vacations, sick leave, with salary commensurate with qualifications.
Greenville is located on the banks of Moosehead Lake which is the largest lake in the State of Maine and is at the gateway to the north Maine woods. Greenville is home to some of Maine’s majestic wildlife and offers endless recreation opportunities such as hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, four wheeling, and hiking; along with a vibrant downtown, specialty shops, restaurants, hospital, beaches, camp grounds, golf course, and a popular ski resort. The town’s population swells from 2300 to 6500 during the summer months, and also accommodates short term visitors in every season.
